Life can be over in heart beat.  Glad you made it through.

Thanks Oldtimer.  This is true.  If I can say anything, if you are prescribed a medication, just take it & don't miss a dose.  I am taking Keppra (anti seizure med) here, not opiates & all that junk.  Pay attention people.  The tiniest lil slip up can cost you your life. ;)

Thank you & for the record, it is not epilepsy, just classified as adult onset seizure disorder. Who knows? :)  Tell ya what, I will never miss my medication time again.

In 2006, I was diagnosed with adult onset seizure disorder.  I was prescribed Kepra 1000mg to be taken every 12 hours.  For whatever reason, I forgot to take the Kepra & this is what happened...just like that.  It was a f**king nightmare.  What's with the jokes?  I don't get it.  This was my life on the line.

Sad to hear it Jade.

The adult seizure disorder, how does one get it? Does it always show 30+?

Is it more common among athletes?

I am guessing there is no cure, only medicine to make it less agonizing?

Kwon, I'm okay!  I am a lil tougher than I look.  In ref to my diagnosis, I am an Army Veteran & I simply follow their orders.  The first time this happened was in 2006.  I have no idea why & today it is still a mystery.  It happens here & there for no reason.  Last time was 12/09/18 b/c I forgot to take the Keppra.  That was really tough....I lost 28lbs in 21 days.  If you want more info, just go to my FB page. :)

I bet you won't. If it were me, I'd be so worried that I'd forget and end up on life support again. What a thing to have to live with. I really feel for you.

Mystery then? No cure?

Can you get it around 50 years of age? Can it get to any age? A bit worried.

No one knows. You may already have it Kwon.

You should be more than a little bit worried.

Thank you. That was a freak thing, I don't remember anything but I will assure you that this will never happen again.  My phone alerts me every 12 hours.  Right now, I am totally fine, healthy, happy & living a great life, etc.   :)
