Just looked at the Blaze.  A TRX / a sandbag / some bands would all be cheaper, take up less space, and have much more options of where/how to exercise.

This thing wreaks of trying to mimic all old school 80 bodybuilding stuff.

Ive been working out with resistant bands for the past 4 weeks. No loss of muscle.

At this point, no sense of buying weights or over-priced bowflex machines.

I don’t really care about lifting heavy at this point. I’m headed on vacation in July and have been slipping the past few years and with this lockdown I’ve got the potential to get really bad. I need to put it in check and lose about 20 pounds.

No you are not either.  LOL

I was going to say get Ironmaster dumbbells until the gyms open for real weight lifting then I saw this on their page.

"Covid-19 Notice: Due to extremely high demand combined with reduced production capacity this year with the Corona virus affecting everyone world-wide we expect to be out of stock until around late May or early June on the Quick-Lock Dumbbells. Production is ramping up and we are doing our best to get stocked up again. You can sign up to be notified on the product pages below when we are restocked. Thanks for your patience and understanding during this unfortunate time in our history."

I also looked at Powerblocks and saw this statement on their site.

"Our State, Minnesota has a 'Stay at Home' Order in effect until April 10. We will not be in the office or shipping during this time. Please e-mail questions@powerblock.com with any questions. Please note that we plan to have limited stock available in 4-6 weeks with additional processing and shipping time. Thank you for your patience. Stay safe and healthy."

Maybe Soloflex has some in stock. See the previous video I put up in this thread.

You are making those who bought expensive Bowflex machines feel bad.

This is bullying in the extreme.

Adjustable dumbbells are not a good buy right now because people are price gouging due to scarcity.

Bowflex 552 (which can be had used for about 200-250 bucks), are being offered over $1000 on FB and CL.

Sounds like a kettle bell or two and some body weight exercises might be the way to go. I mean if you're going to be a pansy and forgo a barbell and power rack

If it's any help... I used to have a bowflex ultimate and trained exclusively on it and with a bunch of dumbbells for like two years. Even prepped for a show with the bowflex.

It's a great machine and the blaze like the ultimate is good because you can go up to 400 lbs and if you check on eBay there are even hacks to get them to go up to 600 lbs.

The motion is interesting because the major resistance with the bows tends to be at end of the contraction kind of like resistance bands.  With the blaze you miss out on the preacher curl attachment but side from that it's an incredibly complete piece of equipment.

I debated buying one during this quarantine for the longest time, but ended up buying some more heavy duty resistance bands... Between those and the dumbbells I can honestly say I have not had a single bad work out since I went into quarantine 4 weeks ago.

Now regarding the adjustable dumbells, I cannot recommend the bowflex selecttech dumbbells. I have owned them and they broke in less than a year. Instead I recommended powerblocks, I bought the ones that go up to 90 lbs they are awesome. A few movements are a bit tricky like pullovers but they're really great.

Hope this helps!

P.S. The bows do break mine never did but I've seen my friends' break. The company tends to be pretty good about replacing them, not sure how it is during these days though with shipping delays and what not.

Plane tickets are insured and the house, she said she would push to another time. There’s an extra room for you and Rory.

Anyone use this Bowflex Revolution? $2900 bucks. You could buy a lot of conventional weight lifting stuff for your house for that price.

And the conventional equipment would last a lifetime and build more muscle.

If you cant fit a bench and a few dumbbells then you might as well call it quits and give up on training altogether

Bowflex? Rubberbands? How about you use some of your condoms to pump up with you bunch of fairys

Agree on the bowflex DB.  Sold mine, bought Ironmasters, and never looked back.  They're better than powerblocks as well - you can drop them like regular DB.

But, as previously stated, just get some kind of weight and follow SC's workouts here if anyone really wants to get in shape.

Might be too much for those who consider lactic acid burn on isolation exercises "hard" though....lol

I’m not sure if I’m structured enough to buy bands and shit like that and do a workout. I know it sounds lazy and unfocused, I just know myself and if I don’t have a place to go or a thing to do, I am not sure I trust myself to do it.

Make a real change.

It takes effort in the beginning, but once you get over the initial ramp up, you actually look forward to it.

Combine it with IF and you'll have liberated yourself from the confines of the gym and worrying about diet.

And, nothing feels better than being in awesome conditioning/cardio shape when you're not exercising.  Everything works better.

I’d be happy to add irongrip400 to the thread title.
