But my gaydar is off the scale with the guy.

I’ve been around this bodybuilding thing for decades. Guys like him are plentiful at shows. Always hanging around, greasy sweat staining their shirts, seven cameras hanging about their necks, not even a hint they themselves engage in weight training, hitting up every fresh-faced fella with pro-tan with business cards, scribbled contact info, and words of encouragement.

I agree,and I personally have met a lot of swarthy so called photographers in this sport who I jut told to fuck off if I got a bad vibe from them,if I got a good vibe I went on my merry way just the same..............basica lly placating them by taking their card then throwing it away.

I was never one for pics as I had a shitty build.

Bob was always cool with me i all I`m saying.................. .....as far as his personal life goes I have no clue just as he ha none about mine.

If he didn't take advantage of any young male bodybuilders seeking status in the industry, I see no harm. I've just noticed some people in the industry are huge followers, but appear to have no history of working out. It just makes me wonder why they are so interested in bodybuilding.

Do you still speak to Jeff King, wes? He seemed to be happy with family life in recent years.

No I haven`t talked to Jeff in eons.

A mutual friend of ours kept in touch with him and told him I was sober and competing and doing well as the last few times he saw me I was on a drinking binge and not looking to well.

Our friend passed away in 2011.

Jeff works in the medical field in some capacity............also heard he ws a reserve state cop,he is an avid hunter and a taxidermist............s till resides in Masachusettes last I heard.

Matt Dufresne let me train free at his gym in 1997 as I had just returned to Springfield from 4 years of living in Port St. Lucie Florida..............the home of Shizzo!   

Called him up told him I was broke he said come train for free..............owned his own Golds Gym.

Took 2 busses both ways at 6 AM to train there in the winter.

Showed him a pic of me at 40 winning my class at the Southern States and he asked who trained me and did my diet.............I told him I did and that I wasn`t always an alcoholic as far as learning about bodybuilding went.................he was amazed at my conditioning.

Never asked me for a dime.......really good guy.

I had no idea Jeff was a reserve state cop. Nice to hear it sounds like he is doing well.
