Does a slight growl before a heavy deadlift set count? If so I am guilty. But then again at my gym the meatheads who hate me deadlifting grunt during their machine preacher curls and their half rep smith machine squats. Sorry for my rant, I had to deal with ass clown shit talkers at the gym today.

lol, it's not that i am afraid to tell him anything, believe me i have no fear there, it's that if he ever mouthed off or talked to me disrespectfully then I'd have to knock his teeth out and then he would probably put his hands on me ... michael would jump in and pummel him and then be out of a job or maybe even jailed.

Rob, if someone told me to f-off, ya, I would commit assault on that person. I pinned a guy between my car and another for calling me a c-nt because I gave a little toot with my horn as he was holding up traffic talking to his friend who was in the other car.

I don't agree. I think far too many women run their mouth KNOWING a guy won't hit them and they take advantage of that. In many cases, they end up getting their husbands/boyfriends in fights they had no business in. I've had many friends end up in jail or just got their asses kicked cause their women couldn't keep their big mouth shut. I'm glad Cheri doesn't do that to Mike.

Well, to each his/her own. But when you realize that the moment of satisfaction that comes from giving someone their due also can result in you being handcuffed, arrested, sent to court, then given probation or jail time, which will adversely affect your ability to work in the future, you might want to think it through.

Plus, if a cop or citizen had driven by and witnessed you pinning a man between your car and another, he could have legally shot you. No lie. That is Florida law, at least. Not sure about Mass.

Holy shit. We had a screamer/grunter at my gym today. Dude was doing leg presses with 7 plates per side, nothing special, but you'd think he was giving birth to a 25 turkey thru his pee hole, the way he screamed. I could not help but laugh. I mean the fucker was extremely loud. I was wearing my headphones, blasting almost full volume, and I had no problem hearing this dude.

I'm not saying that you should turn your back on him, I'm saying that in this situation you can put yourself a step above him if he reacts like an ass, while showing you're not backing off, and if he persist, you can dig his grave.

How you react is basically determined by your personality, and if you stick up for yourself by being agressive, then by all means, do it, it's good that you're not ACCEPTING ANY shit.
Yet, by telling him what I just wrote, you do the exact same thing (while reducing the possibility for violent conflict), and I'm pretty sure nevertheless that if you ask him in a friendly way to keep it down, he'll do it.

As an example, if an adult acts like an idiot to me, I simply look them in they eye and ask them if their mom failed with their upbringing, because civilized people don't act as imature as that, I'm not looking to adopt their issues. This works like a charm, and I've many people who's not apologized for their behaviour when faced with that one. I'm totally in charge of the loser trying to piss me off, and he/she knows it
