Many different factors.

1. He may have been very ill or had an accident at one point. Things can change drastically in a very short period of time.

2. As we grow older, our priorities change, even moreso for some people.

One could assume he lost interest in modelling and staying in shape as he grew older, got kids and got new and totally different priorities in life.

Maybe he switched paths completely and became an engineer, doctor, teacher etc.

3. One really bad economical investment and lost money, became broke, lost a familymember (or more), got depressed etc

Stopped eating and training like he did.

Had a guy I knew from high school like that. He looked like John Davidson from the 60s until his early 30s.

Once he got married he blew up like a balloon. Holy crap!

Another old buddy from my hometown was a true mesomorph. Saw him again a few years later at his brother's wedding and he was unbelievably fat. Unrecognizable.

That's kind of what we do here. Posters on here make fun of what Arnold looks like today. Didn't you know everyone should look like they did in their 20's all the way up till death in their 90's?
