Of course it was real. I follow our local government closely and know a couple of the supervisors and our city attorney. HB, Newport, Laguna Beach and Dana Point all have constitutional lawsuits going against Newsom. The cops and lifeguards I’ve spoken with on our beach won’t fully enforce the directive and seeing that they’re hardly around during the week no one is getting bothered. They’re exact words were “We hate the position we’ve been put in and 100% disagree with Newsoms order.

They’re a little more strict during the weekends because there are obviously more people but to the best of my knowledge, no one has even been cited

If I had to guess, I would say that picture of The_Coach was taken at Dobbins Island's beach in Maryland.  It's a great little private beach, owned by David Clickner since 2002, who I assume is a fan of the Joe Local clothing line - possibly even a major investor in The_Coach's Joe Local clothing business.
