I thought he died decades ago.  RIP  Terrible nickname though.  I wonder how many dates he didn't get because of it.

I had always thought he was a peter puffer, but he apparently got more ass than a toilet seat at a chili cook-off.

According to Wikipedia he considered himself "omnisexual."   ::)  I think he stuck his dick in about anything.

I would venture to guess that not one member of this forum owns an actual Little Richard album or could name more than half a dozen tunes, if not less. One trick pony who faded away decades ago.

I have a few of his recordings on vinyl.  I also made certain to purchase Chuck Berry's last record, also on vinyl.  Big fan of early Rock 'n' Roll.  Everyone had a gimmick but that doesn't mean they were gimmicks.

As for names, a friend of mine that was in show bidness once said - "You change your name until you make a name for yourself".

Smart guy.  I have no idea if he is still alive or not. Have not seen nor heard from him in decades.

Dude was a pioneer of rock music whether you liked him or not. He certainly influenced many in the music world.

On my Ratt DVD there’s a bonus scene with the boys meeting him at one of their video shoots (WAY back).

That and The Predator scene (mentioned) in which dude’s singing his tune is the closest I’ve come to giving a shit.

Still, he’s certainly a pioneer. I’ll give him that.

My neighbor down the street has an uncle who was Little Richard's roommate in Macon, GA before they threw him out of town basically.  He has all kinds of photos and letters from Little Richard in those days.

Little Richard was one of the pioneers who laid a foundation for rock and roll to come.  Don't fool yourself otherwise.

.

That is a great biography. He'd throw giant orgies, and used to pimp his girls out to the other musicians he toured with, on the condition he got to watch. He also mentions that he went for black girls with that looked white, because that exotic look would hook the hottest guys. He mentions having to jack off 5 plus times a day to the thought of them.

But it was not without heart ache, he also mentions being a size queen, and it was distressing to him because he couldn't handle large men or rough types physically.

He was always at odds with his sexuality because he was abused as youngster, and couldn't admit that he enjoyed being gay. He talks about needing to be dominated and a bottom so that he never felt like he was taking advantage of someone.

Later, he tried to distance himself from the book because of the stir it created, but to his credit he never really tried to stop its printing.

Wow, the ignorance.

Chuck Berry and Little Richard - those two are responsible for a majority of everything that happened in the 60s in rock music - especially the Brits.

Massively influential. RIP
