We have a huge problem that isn't easy to solve. After governments got involved things changed and restrictions were introduced. Just about everyone accepted this was necessary. As the risk eases what do governments do? Propose there be steps to get back to normal. Well, here is the snag. What government wants to give an order that might result in even one person losing their life? Also, what if that person who loses their life is us, family or someone close to us? This is a no win situation for those who give orders. In addition you have experts in the medical profession giving opinions about possible outcomes of any easing of restrictions. I don't think the world has been in such a delicate situation before. Here in Australia things aren't so bad re the virus but we still can't go around and do what we like. Oh, we can buy food and essentials, exercise and visit here and there but overall we are told to stay home. You see, the government doesn't want to allow travel about the state if that results in the virus being spread to places that were untouched before. I can't see an easy solution here. In the meantime, imagine owning a gym or restaurant or any other business affected by the lockdowns. How are they going to survive a continued shutdown?

California is a totally different case. It appears the politicians are testing to see how far they can push people around. So far it's working well for them.
