Dude, a couple hospitals in San Diego county have had to furlough because they never had the COVID rush they wanted and have turned away people who needed to see doctors for other reasons.  Now they're losing a shit load of money and complaining about it.  Such a fucking disaster.

Everyone I know who works in healthcare from doctors to people who supply pharmaceuticals to hospitals to people who staff hospitals have told me how bad business is right now.  It's a total disaster.

Like EL diablo had said this has been a disaster for hospitals. In Ny we are forced to keep 30% of our units empty.  No surgery unless emergency and thats a main money maker.  And we passed our curve so we are low on even covid patients.  Doctors are definitely getting persuaded to link death to covid.

Everything I've read and heard suggests that COVID-19 must be considered the primary cause of someone's death to become part of the statistics reported. If anything because some people have died at home, COVID-19 deaths are likely under reported. One thing that seems obvious is considering the shortage of tests, a whole lot of people who have COVID-19 but are asymptomatic, don't know they have it. Chances are the number of infected people is considerably higher than what has been reported.

Science and the medical profession believe that COVID-19 affects much more than our respiratory system. It is suspected of causing a variety of organ failures.

Depends what unit you work on. If your in icu with all people in critical condition. Yes it sucks.  But mostly the other units that would typically have a 90% census are being held empty by state order. And there’s not much for those nurses to do
