RIP Mikayla Kingman - Passes away at 23 - by Suicide
« on: May 22, 2020, 08:30:56 AM »
These times are very rough to many, and it is tough to see people think they are going thru something by themselves.  Especially right now with many of us being in lockdown to to our government and the virus.

This is from Lonnie Teper, freind of mine and also a College Teacher for the last 30 years, even while he was emceeing cotests and writing for magazines, regarding Mikayla.

On May 17, NPC figure standout Mikayla Kingman, who won three division titles, and two overall trophies at the 2017 NPC Jay Cutler Classic, committed suicide. She was 23. Ten days apart, two more young lives lost to a subject most people run and hide from.

According to the textbook I require in my Health classes at East Los Angeles College, suicide is the second leading cause of death for 15 to 24 year olds in the United States. It has become the leading cause of death on college campuses; it has become the leading cause of death by injury among American adults. People who commit suicide usually indicate their intentions; in the cases of Sandoe and Kingdom I do not know if that was the case. This is not something to take lightly. If you notice warning signs of suicide in someone you know, it's critical that you take action.

Monitor signals. Take threats seriously. Let the person know how much you care. Don't belittle feelings. Call a suicide hotline if necessary. And, don't keep your suspicions to yourself!

Mikayla Ann Kingman, 23, of East Bridgewater, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 10, 2020. She was born October 1, 1996, in Brockton. Mikayla was an inspiration to all, her smile would light up a room. She was an all-star athlete all throughout high school and a champion in bodybuilding; placing 1st in 3 categories and overall champion for 2 categories in the NPC Jay Cutler Classic. Mikayla loved spending time at the beach and watching sunsets, she loved her s'mores. She was dedicated to spreading the message of motivation. Little Mikey will never be forgotten. She is survived by her loving parents, Gary and Linda Kingman of East Bridgewater. In addition to her parents, Mikayla is survived by her siblings, Jason Imlach and his wife Jen, Gary Kingman Jr. and his wife Katlynn, Keri Kingman and her fiance Irina Zhizhina. She was also the adored aunt of Colton and Kellan; with many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Mikayla was the granddaughter of Mitsi Kingman and her late husband William Kingman. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Mary and Harry Baker. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Massachusetts. No services will be held in Florida.

It is.  We are seeing it now even more.  But people need to know they are not alone.  Even in our crazy times, just say hi, talk to someone.  Loneliness and despair is tough.

My youngest brother committed suicide 23 years ago.  He showed zero signs of doing so.  Those that take their own life more often than not, just do so.  He had been a meth addict but died clean, i.e., no drugs,  except he had to get drunk to be able to take his own life.  I told our mother that at least he only took his life and did not go out as so many fuckwit cowards do, shooting innocent people because they want a suicide by law enforcement.  FTN.

My mom, being Catholic now, had fears of Hell for her youngest but I pointed out that Samson committed suicide and God gave him the strength to do so.  No one really knows why people do this other than they were pretty much spent on living.

I do however, find it odd that so many people are more interested in how the deceased took their life rather in how they lived it.

Sad.

Have you noticed how psychological vulnerability and mental weakness seems to get worse with each new generation?

Nope.   ;D ;D

I am Cashew.  Which is Catholic/Jewish.  My mother converted to Catholicism when very young as did another aunt of mine. I also had an uncle who met one of my auntie's who is Jewish and he was Catholic.  My mom introduced them and my uncle fell deeply in love with my aunty (and she with him) and he converted to Judaism to marry her.  I envy them that love, believe me.

I am somewhat outcast from both sides since the loss of my faith.  That and I look rather Teutonic and this would cause some family members to be rather caustic toward me.  But in our case blood truly is thicker than prejudice and we all love one another as best we can. ;D

I think society is losing its sense of community these days due to internet, ease of communication and social media. It's easy to feel lost with no purpose. COVID-19 certainly doesn't help.

It's very sad to hear about cases like this. RIP.  :'(

Yup.  I think it's the fault of the ever mutating virus of the libtardian societal zeitgeist that feeds the weak mindset of being owed fappiness and all that is required to ensure that without having to WORK for it.  That crap was primarily spawned in the 60s.

Fuck That Noise, brother! ;D

Hate to say it, but the prospect of a woman feeling the need to inject male hormones is really a warning sign of underlying  mental illness.

Very sad and very tragic loss. I fear this will be a lot more common if these restrictive policies continue.

And yes the internet and ease of communication is ruining the human race. Honestly.

Many modern conveniences strip some of the mental(including mood) and physical health benefits of "roughing it", which used to be done out of necessity.

A few examples:

1. Occasional fasting was normal throughout human history due to intermittent food shortages(drought, hunters couldn't find prey, etc...).
    Benefits:
"Ketones have also been shown to reduce cellular damage and cell death in neurons and can also reduce inflammation in other cell types."
"When you are fasting, ketone bodies generated by your liver partly replace glucose as fuel for your brain as well as other organs. This ketone usage by your brain is one of the reasons that fasting is often claimed
to promote mental clarity and positive mood – ketones produce less inflammatory products as they are being metabolized than does glucose, and they can even kick-start production of the brain growth factor
     BDNF"
With 3 day fasting, the body goes into a state of autophagy:
"Autophagy is the body's way of cleaning out damaged cells, in order to regenerate newer, healthier cells, according to Priya Khorana, PhD, in nutrition education from Columbia University. “Auto” means self and
“phagy” means eat. So the literal meaning of autophagy is “self-eating.”

2.  Cold showers/bathing. Humans didn't always heat their water.
     Benefits:
"ice baths and showers increase the release of norepinephrine, a hormone that works to calm you down, to the blood. It also affects your mood, vigilance, focus, and attention.
Norepinephrine can rise 200-300% with cold immersion near 0 celsius for 20 seconds / 3 times a week. Norepinephrine reduces inflammation through the inhibition of inflammatory cytokines including TNF-alpha
(tumor necrosis factor alpha), a molecule involved in almost every human disease from type 2 diabetes to cancer"

3.  Humans had natural diets historically.
Modern diets can negatively affect gut bacteria. Serotonin(associated with anti-depressants) is produced in the brain and intestines.
"In fact, the gut contains the vast majority of the serotonin in our body. Serotonin, or 5-hydroxytryptamine, is produced by the enterochromaffin (EC) cells lining the digestive tract."

4. On average, modern humans take in less sun than their ancestors.
Mind and body benefits. Easily researched.

5. On average, humans got much more exercise. Obvious mind and body benefits.

etc, etc....

How many have good natural diets, fast, take cold showers, get enough sun, enough exercise, especially cardiovascular.....

very sad for this girl, her friends and family
suicide, depression, domestic violence, child abuse, all up in numbers thanks to this lockdown, but hey, two 90 year olds survived covid.
dont forget world economy crashing, people losing job, business, income, housing, etc. but not the people making those commie decisions
large paychecks, benefits, pensions for life
if this does not infuriate you you may not owns balls so go wipe your pussy
dont get too mad since nothing can be done
wouldnt be surprised if some nut sprays a governors house with ammo one day soon, people may snap

Never heard of her so I can't say I'll miss her.

23 is way too young to kill yourself.

At least wait until 30.

Jesus that's young. Honestly what kind of life problems do you have at 23? I was in University eating Ramen noodles, enjoying Buck A Beer nights, and cramming for tests. I had absolutely nothing outside of my tiny dorm room but I sure didn't feel the need to die. Yes things were stressful but not to the point where I felt life wasn't worth living.

I just don't understand what's so devastating at that young age.

What a tragedy.

Yep. The primary feelings of depression are helplessness and apathy. Like being dead while you are alive.

My good friend passed away after committing suicide. Very tough.

You wonder if the person thought of how it would impact those that knew and were close to them. But I watched an episode of RX Muscle and Lee Priest said that at that moment you don’t think of anyone but doing it. Some other things mentioned that they are in a period of psychosis when committing the act.

Well, long story short, that's good news. BTW, cashews are among my favorite nuts.
