If God can hear every thought and feeling, then why do people need a place of worship? I mean, couldn't God hear your prayers whether or not you're at home or at a church? Why would the location matter?

Religion is the corner stone of some people's lives.  For many of them the camaraderie that comes from going to church with others who feel the way they do. The religious rituals involved are very important to them. Even though I am not in the least religious, I can understand how they might feel like being able to worship with others is essential to their mental and spiritual well-being. Throughout time people have given their lives for their religious beliefs, including Jesus. For many God is bigger than any pandemic and that is probably as it should be.

You have a point. None of those things including religion are on my essential activities list. What is is going to the gym and working out. I cannot begin to express how excited I am that Oregon is phasing in the reopening and the gyms near to me will very likely be opening up very soon.

It is fact that while Christians are called to give even unto their life for their faith, muslimes are told to take life for theirs.

There is a tremendous difference in the Nazarene and the profit schmoehammed.  When I had faith, I had no "religion" for by religion not just I, but the world has seen the lunacy of men.   But by faith, every once in a while we have seen the rare miracle.  People have laid down their lives for others.  A muslime will throw a bomb into a crowd but a follower of the Nazarene might throw themselves upon that bomb.  That is a miracle in and of itself.  I have spoken with men that have survived because someone did this for them. 

It was written that Jesus changed water to wine but a cucktard will change a debate to whining.

This is a serious post and not a sarcastic one. My guess is that a lot of folks here believe in God and could provide Che with an explanation, but you may just be the man to do it and do it well. You really piss me off sometimes, but I have little doubt that you have a soul and a strong ecumenical core.
