Use the 45 minute dry time powder mix because it’s the easiest to sand with an orbital sander

The 20 minute dry mix drys too hard to sand easy

Always use mesh tape on joints

Use a 6 inch putty knife

As for myself I never sand.

If you know the right technique there is no need to sand.

The best size drywall blade is a very wide one...10 inches or more.

Sometimes I will feather out areas with a large damp sponge.

I was taught how to do this many years ago.
