like they say just shut up and dribble the ball. i don't see why anyone in the sports, entertainment, or sports entertainment takes a stand. all that they are doing is alienating half their fan base. wait till your career is done and you get in your respective sports hall of fame, than open your big yap... see the case of  curt schilling, the poster child for putting his foot in his mouth and making bad investments. also lenny dykstra.

The leftists will offer that Brees can say what he wants but must take the consequences of job loss, hate, loss of sponsorships, having people scream at him in restaurants, demonstrate outside his home, harass his kids and wife, etc.

The right did the same to Kapernick but less extreme. Kapernick did lose opportunities from his stance.  He probably should have apologized or somehow clarified his message.

Taking all that into consideration, what would you do?

Everyone that keeps saying kaepernick didn’t disrespect the flag, he stated he did. He said “he wasn’t going to stand for a flag that oppresses people of color” so it is about that flag

If I were Brees I would retire and tell those New Orleans Negroes they will never get another penny out of me.  Then I'd move to a white place like Aspen, Telluride or Jackson Hole and live the rest of my life in luxury.  This is why you never "give back" to these ungrateful communities.
