The only real privilege a person can have regardless of race, color, or creed is simply wealth. The richer you are the more privileges you get in pretty much all aspects of life.

You can hide being gay and to some extent hide being a Jew, but you can't hide being black. You have the privilege of choice.

I agree in that you can't hide being black. Nor was I trying to detract from the struggle that African-Americans are going through at the present moment and have been for many centuries. Towards the end of my post, I made that very clear and even made reference to the fact that wealth is the only thing that truthfully gives you privilege in this country. Nonetheless, being African-American and in this country particularly throughout the 1700s, 1800s and early-to-mid 1900s has been nothing short of a nightmare for the vast majority.

- Jews aren't White.  To be White is to be of European genetic ancestry, much like to be Black to is to be of African genetic ancestry.  While you no doubt have partial European ancestry, Jews are Semitic.  Middle Eastern.  You are not White.

I'm Israeli and Greek. My skin color is white and my facial features are typical of an anglo person. For law enforcement and random strangers that I've encountered throughout my life, there has been nothing else I've been categorized as but white.
