At first I was disgusted at their pussyness, then I realized, like most politicians, they're placating their voters. They don't mean shit, they'll lay down, kneel, apologize, the protesters will celebrate thinking they "won", then it will be right back to business as usual. It's a smart tactic I suppose for those with no backbone or dignity.

100% right. Same with Jacob Frey's walk of shame. They eat their pride, create some placating imagery that will be shared and remembered, then pick up where they left off.

Minneapolis council just voted to disband their 800 man police department. It can't be vetoed by the Mayor. Can you imagine what that city will be like when it's implemented?  Shop lift at will. Burglarize houses at will. Drive away from an accident without fear.  Beat your wife in a drunken stupor knowing you have nothing to worry about.  Crack your noisy neighbor with a baseball bat. Why wait at traffic lights? Go right through them. Drive drunk and high.
