I am pulled over and questioned quite a  lot.  If it's dark, I roll the windows down, have the car off and the cabin light on.  My wallet and insurance/registration are on the dash and I am POLITE. I have  been through those drunk driver check things and I don't drink alcohol.

Again, I am polite and do everything I can. If I am asked to do a deep knee bend or anything worse, I show them my leg braces and explain why I cannot do them.  In airports, I have the same problems as I tend to set off metal detectors with what doctors have put inside me in an effort to repair me.

When I was young and much larger, it was still the same story.  If I looked like someone the police were looking for, I obeyed them.  Profiling works.  I was pulled over early in dark fog because I was stopped too long at a light without turning.  I dwarfed the officers and I could tell they were worried but when told to present my license I explained I was wearing coveralls and I would have to unzip them and then get my hand around back to my wallet in my pants. 

I was moved to the front of the squad car and in the headlights did as I was told.    Each time I was polite, NEVER once did I mouth off because I had my "constipational rights" (Sheeeeit!  ).

I'm  still alive.     I suppose it bears mentioning that in my yoot I looked like a product of Lebensborn and that according to a German born woman when I was 4 or so.  Scare my mom witless, LOL! 

Even today some people feeeeeeeeeel it's okay to judge  me for my looks, including LEOs especially when they're looking for someone that I look like.  I am always polite and respectful because law enforcement has it rough and I am NOT going to make it worse for them. 

Or me.  I would say that on average I have been "hassled" by the Man far more than a lot of black guys I have know throughout my life.  And believe me, it made my friends that are black laugh!

Bad policing is not exclusive to the black community.  Cops abusing their power is not exclusive to the black community.  Excessive use of force by police is not exclusive to the black community.

Black people have a lot of police interactions because black people commit crime wildly out of proportion to their population.
