"Black cops aren't black..."
Back in 2010, a cop in Orlando, where Demings was police chief, felt "threatened" and shoved an 84 year old (white) man so hard he broke the elderly man's neck.

At the time, police chief Demings said that the cop
"performed the technique within department guidelines" and as usual the cop was cleared of any wrongdoing.
This is an article from 2008, when Demings was police chief:
A three-month Orlando Weekly investigation, drawing on hundreds of documents and dozens of interviews, suggests OPD has a problem policing its own. The police department, it seems, is a place where rogue cops operate with impunity, and theres nothing anybody who finds himself at the wrong end of their short fuse can do about it.

"#blackliesmatter" supporters are willing to support former cops like Demings and former prosecutors like Kamala Harris because they're black and female.
