This made me realise how much bigger Robocop would have been with Arnold at the helm, he had that perfect lean and overly bony and muscled face for the helmetless parts. I wonder if he was ever considered or offered the part?

Not sure it would be that much bigger, in 86 arnold did Raw Deal which made much less than Robocop. He did Commando in 85 that did about the same and Predator in 87 which made twice the money Robocop did (about 100m)

Running Man didnt do great either.

Just opinion, but Id see it matching Predators box office with Arnold starring over Peter Weller.

I read Arnold was actually first choice but he was too big for suit, also too big to fit in the patrol car, even Weller had to drive the car without the bottom half of the suit to fit in the patrol car.

i don't think arnold fits the role as well as peter weller

he wouldn't have seemed as vulnerable and helpless when he is brutally shot to death

also robocop was pretty big to begin with, i don't think he would've made it bigger

The actual story is they asked arnold and he turned it down, he pointed them in lou's direction. I saw a video of lou saying this some time ago.
