Greetings my fellow getbiggers, let me take you down memory lane and take a look at, now, household bodybuilding names but their less impressive placings in the Mr Olympia contest!

1984 - Lee Haney won the show with Mohamed Makkawy getting 2nd, what happend to that guy? He doesnt even have a wikipedia page.

A favorite by many, Bob Paris finished 7th with Sergio Oliva at 8th place.

Tom Platz at #9 Boyer Coe at 13th, Charles Glass at 16th and Robby Robinson last at 17th place.

1988 - Lee Haney still winning, Shawn Ray finishing 13th!

1991 - Lee Haney still winning, Milos Sarcev finishing 16th along with a bunch of others

1992 - Dorian Winning with Lou Ferrigno at 12th (quite a few years after he battled Arnold on stage in Pumping Iron), Milos again 16th along with a bunch of others... one of them being Ronnie Coleman!

1993 - Lou climbing to a 10th place with Ronnie being out of the competition all together.

1994 - The return of Ronnie, but only climbing one spot, to 15th place! Hardly a fast ride to the top.
Here we see Gunther Schlierkamp debuting coming in last.

1995 - Dorian continues to win, Ronnie climbing to 11th place.

1998 - All this time, but finally Ronnie won. Lee Priest got 7th. Paul Dillett passed out.

1999 - Jay Cutler debutes, finishing at 14th place with Marcus Ruhl being disqualified for diueritcs! Porter Cortrell withdraws from a firefighting incident!

  • Train for strength and health.
Makkawy retired as he did not want to compete as a mass monster.

  • I hope I'm not boring you.
1984 - To be fair, Sergio was an old man in bodybuilding years, coming in 8th is an accomplishment. Bob Paris is an interesting one, that 7th place finish is his highest despite being a favorite now. Charles Glass's first Olympia appearance was that one, so 16th isn't bad. That 84 Olympia is an odd one.

1991 - That was very early in Milos's career, so 16th isn't bad, a lot of big names finished in 16th place that year.

1992/93 - To be fair to Lou, he was old by then, no giant jumps in placing happening.

Yes the subject line is a little missleading, i started out just looking at a few placings from the bottom.

Anyway i thought it was interesting to look at some of the old placings, and not just talk about the top-3  :)
