I believe sexual attraction preferences are innate and/or alternately imprinted at a very early age. I would go with innate, nonvolitional but I don't discount early experiences having some sort of impact. They say no one is born a racist. On the contrary, it's a natural biological drive.

What does irritate me is that psychiatry is so politicised, and they back this current lunacy. They are supposed to be scientists, though there are critical voices even from that field, saying tranny surgery at a young age will be seen as monstrous crime in the future.

well wait a minute i need clarification about that.  i understand that the if the mother is not jewish but the father is, then the kid is not a jew.  But, does that mean that what you say is de facto true?  That if the mother is jewish but the father is not, then the kid is a jew?  That's what I thought at first, but then I thought maybe they are just implying that the mother has to be jewish *also*, meaning that the father is a jew.

As a Cashew (Catholic-Jew) allow me...The mother must be Jewish for a child to be considered Jewish and thereby allowed entry into Israel.  There is a simple reason behind this primitive way of determining genuine ancestry:

Even thousands of years ago all the way to current time, everyone knows who the mother is.     She gives birth and is Jewish?  So too is the child.  I apologize if this is poorly worded but hopefully you get the idea.
