John-Erik Hexum
« on: July 09, 2020, 04:27:35 AM »
Was on his way to being Brad Pitt before Brad Pitt, but decided in between takes of his tv show, to see what would happen if you pressed a blank gun to your head and pull the trigger.Needless to say it didnt go well and he was dead in 1984 at the age of 27.With his physique he may have pushed lifting in to the mainstream way sooner than now, as he was projected by most to be a superstar in hollywood.

Goes to show you that you never should play with guns, not even on a movieset.

Even though he was insanely stupid, he was also very unlucky.

"On October 12, 1984, the cast and crew of Cover Up were filming the seventh episode of the series, "Golden Opportunity," on Stage 17 of the 20th Century Fox lot. One of the scenes filmed that day called for Hexum's character to load bullets into a .44 Magnum handgun, so he was provided with a functional gun and blanks. When the scene did not play as the director wanted it to in the master shot, there was a delay in filming. Hexum became restless and impatient during the delay and began playing around to lighten the mood. He had unloaded all but one (blank) round, spun it, and—simulating Russian roulette—he put the revolver to his right temple and pulled the trigger,[7] apparently unaware of the danger.

Blanks use paper or plastic wadding to seal gunpowder into the cartridge, and this wadding is propelled from the barrel of the gun with enough force to cause injury if the weapon is fired within a few feet of the body, particularly a vulnerable spot, such as the temple or the eye. At a close enough range, the effect of the powder gasses is a small explosion, so although the paper wadding in the blank that Hexum discharged did not penetrate his skull, there was enough blunt force trauma to shatter a quarter-sized piece of his skull and propel the pieces into his brain, causing massive hemorrhaging.[2][8]

Hexum was rushed to Beverly Hills Medical Center, where he underwent five hours of surgery to repair his wounds.[8] On October 18, aged 27, six days after the accident, Hexum was declared brain dead."

Pity he shot himself, imagine all the movies he could have made.

He could also have made a fortune doing voices (TV, animated movies etc) when he got older and lost his looks.

Would almost (I SAID ALMOST!) put Henda to shame!

Only positive thing is that he won't have to see the current state of affairs in the USA with BLM, Riots, Crazy Liberals etc

He should have been declared brain dead before the accident.

So weird. I actually semi-remember this guy. The thread jogged my memory. But I was 14 when he croaked, so I don’t specifically recall much of anything about him.

He died at a good time. As another says, he was spared the era of mentally-deranged lefties working passionately to destroy Western civilization.

He wasnt around for long.Seems he started acting in 81, by 84 had his own show and mid 84 dead.Show was corny as hell but from what I can see he had a fairly unusual mix of 40s, 50s  burt lancaster, cary grant types with some 00s and 10s brad pitt and chris hemsworth thrown in.Would have been a star for sure.

being gay is awesome because it's way easier to find a partner who will partake in your deviant fetish because all men (gay and straight) are pigs and you never have to deal with white women (who are literally THE WORST).....well, actually to the later- you'll only have to deal with fat ugly ones in the "gay best friend"capacity but those are short term relationships because Diabetes or a pitchfork carrying villagers will make short work of there utterly miserable lives

I don’t care what you say, anybody who sticks a gun to their head at most has a death wish, and at least is wreckless with their life.

Great post, Kwon, as always - but just a few points:

[1] No one puts Henda to shame.  Henda and I both agree that the only person who puts him to shame is hipolita meija [in terms of stinking up a bi-level home after taking a dump].
[2] I hope Henda reads your post.
[3] I was wondering how I came across this Scandinavian stud, Jon-Erik Hexum.  Now I realize it most have been this thread.

Talk about a good looking dude.  And to think Hexum would only be 63 if he were alive today.  I'd bet any money he'd still be shagging hot 30-year-old women.  Peter North was born in the same year, and he was on TT Boy's podcast a little over a year ago, and looked great.  Yeah, he's not as good looking as he was...but he is over 60 now.

What a life cut short.  The only thing I can think of for Hexum's death would be: [1] potential coverup [but this would involve multiple people, and I don't think a bunch of cast and crew would take part in a coverup just for the sake of a prop man, or whoever would have caused his death in such a scenario], or [2] Hexum was just tired and bored after a long day at work, and figured it's just Russian roulette with a blank.

One thing I learned first thing in the army is that blanks absolutely have the potential to kill you.  It may depend on the firearm - maybe blanks from the smallest firearms wouldn't be lethal as often, but I would think at a close enough range, the potential for death is always there.

Lastly, could Jon-Erik Hexum be the best looking dude...ever?

Never heard of him, good looking man indeed.

His death similar but not as bizzare as Brandon Lee's.

Seems like a cover-up
