I had to look up GGG [Gennady Golovkin, from Kazakhstan].  LMAO @ White peoples of the world being colonized by Muslims, even though they are White Russians.  Man, as the shit is hitting the fan more and more, I'm grateful to be English and Italian.  At least the worst people to have oppressed my ancestors have been my ancestors.

I was going to ask the question, is GGG friends with Khabib Nurmagomedov?  But as I understand it, the USSR broke off into 17 separate political chunks based on ethnicity after it fell in 1991, so for all I know "Kazakhstan" hates "Dagestan".

Kazakhstan sounds like the country that Borat was making fun of.

Is it an ignorant question to ask if GGG may have helped Khabib train in striking?  100% guarantee all the Canadian UFC fighters know each other.  I guess I don't follow Russian sociopolitical issues as much.

To answer the question in the OP:

I'm not sure...GGG is 38, and Manny Pacquiao is 41 [Pac-Man is turning 42 in December].  It's not like either of them are exactly spring chickens.

If you twisted my arm, I'd have to go GGG though, but that's only after glossing his over record...if he fought a bunch of cans, I would possibly tilt that back to Pac-Man.

Nobody asked for this bullshit.  Salt Water Politician should be fighting Crawford in an unification.  GGGimmick can go up to 168 and fight Ramirez or Benavitez.

You are really off the rails retarded this week.  Gennadiy Golovkin is of Russian/Korean descent and is a Christian.

Madness even with Golovkin on the slide, Manny could get seriously hurt, he's a lot bigger man and Manny isn't as hard to tag as he once was.

I don't necessarily disagree but I wonder how fast Manny will seem in with an aging middle weight. I don't believe this fight is happening but if it does, kudos to Manny for daring to be great.

You are really off the rails retarded this week.  Gennadiy Golovkin is of Russian/Korean descent and is a Christian.

If you don't like my autistic posting, I'll try to warn you.  Ignore the part in bold, as it does not relate to this thread:

I try to learn as I go, and when I'm wrong, I'm happy to admit it.  There is no "debating" that young Black males are 3.5% of the American population and commit 56% of all gun violence, primarily on one another [93% of all Black-perpetrated homicides being Black-on-Black for example, with Black males being 18.5 times as likely to shoot a White police officer than the reverse].  I have no idea how the fuck White people are even being dragged into these bullshit discussions about race.  Oh shit, we did bad things in the 1600's.  I forgot.  IT'S NOT LIKE I'M FUCKING REMINDED OF THAT ON A DAILY BASIS OR ANYTHING.

Facts are not meant to be "accepted" or "rejected" - but merely ACKNOWLEDGED.  I will tell Getbig when anything I say is up for "debate".  Overwhelmingly, I'm just stating facts.

I would LOVE someone to tell me, especially after this insane year, that my life has been one giant Andy Kaufman-style troll on me by people who were just fucking with me.

So, Abraham - if you are God just pranking me, can you PLEASE just PM me and let me know?  This isn't funny anymore.  Well...maybe a little.  :D

GGG [Gennady Golovkin] vs. Manny Pacquiao [BOXING]:

As I said, I will say when something is up for "debate" and not.  For example, regarding this thread/boxing/the OP:

I wouldn't make a bet on this fight.  I haven't kept up with Pac-Man, and it's not like a 41-year-old man fighting a 28-year-old man.  Pac-Man and GGG are close in age, and just glossing over GGG's record, he looks like a pretty dominant fighter.  I just don't know how many of those wins and KO's were against tomato cans versus top-rate fighters.  I know Pac-Man has proven himself, but he is a bit older now, and IMO, Mayweather purposely waited to fight him until he felt that Manny was punch-drunk enough to guarantee a win.  I didn't actually watch that fight, but I was told it was basically ballroom dancing for 12 rounds [meme attached below, lol].

GGG [Gennady Golovkin] & Khabib Nurmagomedov:

Regarding GGG and Khabib, I was just curious if they had met one another, given that they are a two-day's drive apart.

And I went online and answered my own question:

Looks like they do know one another, but I can't even believe my own eyes anymore.  It's not so much about being retarded or autistic - it's that 2020 has been the most confusing year of my life, and this pandemic is literally the craziest and most contradictory political time I have ever lived in.

NOW would be about the time for someone to just tell me I'm in some 22nd century simulation game, or in purgatory or something.  It's just been a weird year, and I don't think I'm the only one who feels that way.

I like these theoretical match-ups...would be cool to see another boxing vs. MMA match, IMO:

Regarding GGG and religion, I was just talking about the overall religion of the region he is in, not his own personal views, where it looked like he is from a majority-Muslim area from what I read on Wiki:

"Per 2009 census, Islam is the religion of about 70% of the population, with Christianity practised by 26%. Kazakhstan officially allows freedom of religion, but religious leaders who oppose the government are suppressed."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kazakhstan

As for GGG being half-Korean - cool!  Thanks for telling me that, Abraham.  You learn something new everyday, right?  :)

Just More Rambling About GGG & Khabib, Mayweather vs. McGregor, Boxing vs. MMA:

Now this is interesting...and only from 2018:

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2804405-gennady-golovkin-jokes-hell-fight-conor-mcgregor-khabib-nurmagomedov

If this sort of gimmick happens again, I hope that they would do BOTH a boxing match AND an MMA fight.

Khabib is not a striker though...so him fighting a highly-skilled boxer when he is an MMA wrestler, IN the boxing ring...well...that wouldn't end well for Khabib.  I can see why Khabib would only want to fight a boxer in an MMA fight.  If Khabib was to cross-over to a pure combat sport, I think him taking on an Olympic level wrestler in his weight division would be fine.  Maybe Shmagi Bolkvadze from Georgia, who competes at 66kg [145.5-lb], and won the Olympic Bronze in Brazil in 2016:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shmagi_Bolkvadze

Regardless of criticism, the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight was good to watch as an MMA fan, IMO.  It was an active fight, and it's obvious that McGregor actually knows how to box.  Given that Mayweather was 40 years old at the time, and McGregor was only 28, and Mayweather had broken his hand twice, there was at least a puncher's chance McGregor could have won.  I recall McGregor landing an uppercut that Mayweather looked totally unprepared for.

I'm NOT saying that McGregor stood any serious chance of beating Mayweather.  I think the only question was in what ROUND Mayweather would win.  But it was definitely entertaining to watch to me as an MMA fan, and given Mayweather's age at the time, and time away from the ring, and McGregor's hype/popularity with fans, I don't see why any pure boxing fan should have been surprised it sold so many pay-per-views.

I would have loved to see Mayweather fight McGregor in MMA, just for everyone to see a fight that wouldn't have made it to the 60-second mark, let alone 10 rounds.  No disrespect to pure boxing, but that's how I see it.  Not to mention, the ability to dirty-box while wearing the smaller MMA gloves, which would have even made the striking itself closer, in the Octagon as opposed to the Squared Circle.

Finally, back to GGG and Pac-Man...I don't want to see either one go down as a combat sportsman who held on too long and suffers from CTE or another form of cognitive disease as a result of head trauma.  It's nice to see athletes hang it up at the right time.  Pac-Man is beloved in his homeland, The Philippines, so I don't know why he would need to fight, especially now after 40.

It's like how in bodybuilding, Nasser El Sonbaty stayed over 300-lb for too long, and died before 50 as a result.  I hate seeing that, but some people just can't get over their glory days.
