Do Getbiggers consider themselves 'edgy'?

Reading some of the replies to Coach's last thread - it's as if some Getbiggers have become a parody of themselves.

There seems to be a number of very bitter people who do appear to be genuinely angry as well as people taking replies FAR too seriously. I got it 15 years ago but still? Really?

Also should be said - there's some pretty funny replies here. But there's as much half-wit as there is wit.

Do people consider throwing insults on an interweb forum edgy still? Is it a form of stress relief?

Seems to me that the days of jumping over fences & shooting cops is over.

I'm English - so being insulted by mates is pretty much a constant.

But some guys here - they are obviously very much invested in this. You can almost feel the spittle coming through the screen on the more vitriolic posts.

Not that I mind - I think it's hilarious. But it's not edgy.

Edgy? What does that mean? Is that some of those new expressions the newer generation use like i've seen here on Getbig like, fatcel?

I'm 50 so aren't up to speed with all the new words.

You know - seeing yourself as a Cowboy, a Serpico type, above average, seeing yourself as a cut above the rest and 'blowing people away with their acerbic wit". Basic delusional. Jason Blaha on Prozac.

In real life, probably the type of person that says stuff like "I say it how I see it", "I tell it like it is & if you don't like it - tough" - without realizing that is the textbook definition of a complete arsehole.

Probably also studies martial arts - but only from a distance.

I trained Martial Arts back in my day, many years, until i wanted to supplement the MA with gym-training, but later then got stuck in the Gym and stopped with the MA and got bitten by the perpetual Iron Bug of Peace.

Haven't trained either now for a bunch of years!
