There are like 15 people on this site not including gimmicks. With the lock down everywhere there should be a bunch of new posters. There aren't though.
When Wes says "Welcome to the Thunderdome", he's actually downplaying what this place is.
No doubt there are thousands of people who read the posts on Getbig. Lots of them become members and yet never post here. Any idea why? I'll take a stab at it, they are too intelligent and wise to get involved in the nonsense and often vulgar belligerence that goes on in these forums on an hourly basis, day after day.
There are 1,585 pages with 30 lines per page or almost 48,000 members. At any give time, there are only a dozen or so folks posting here.
This is billed as a website devoted to bodybuilding and fitness and yet there are currently only three or four of us posting on a regular basis on the Training Logs and Info pages. Ron keeps us updated on bodybuilding and fitness competition results. I have no idea how many folks read them but replies or comments are few. Less than 10% of the posts in the Gossip and Opinions forum, (Getbig's most popular forum) have anything whatsoever to do with bodybuilding.
There is a separate forum for politics. The majority of people posting in it aren't interested in having intelligent discussions or debates, they are consumed in glad handing each other and denigrating and vilifying anyone who dares have a different viewpoint than their's which is almost exclusively one of the extreme conservative right.
