Yes, you presented a challenge to me but you require me to take the time off and pay my way to meet you. And you lecture me about honor and being a man. Let me tell you how a real man with honor does it.
As many will remember, I issued one serious challenge to another member on this board, Joe Valentino. After going back and forth, he told me that I was just all talk and a coward, and if I was really serious I would come to him to settle things. After all, I made the challenge. If I wasn't going to do that then I should just shut up and admit that I'm just all talk and make idle threats. When you have a sense of honor it's not about your feelings and emotions, it was clear to me that he was right. I should back up my word or just shut up and admit I was just all talk. So I accepted his challenge. When I got PMs from him where he gave me some personal information and discussing the best way to set up it then it hit me that he was serious. That's when I realize that I was put on the spot. I had to either publicly back down and admit I was just all talk or I had to accept his challenge. Both would have been an honorable alternative. My pride and sense of honor would not allow me to back down but I did have to be honest and admit it would be a stupid thing to do. I mean, flying over to Florida to meet some internet big mouth and go hand to hand just to shut him up. But my temper and pride have caused me to do stupid things before. I keep my word. Win or lose, I don't back down.
I arrange to get time off work, I had to explain and take heaps of shit from my girlfriend about what I planned to do, I checked flights out to Florida. When I got everything set up I then contacted Valentino. I can't believe I was actually going to do this but if you shoot off your mouth you better be ready to back it up. The one consolation was that finally, for the first time, after all the various threats on GetBig throughout the years, with the OMR/SuckMyMuscle being a classic and one that I thought would actually happen, a fighting challenge is going to take place. It will make GetBig history.
So I contacted him and told him I could be there in three days giving him my phone number (he already gave me his number). Well, when it hit him that I was also very serious and he realized that this was for real, that I do have a sense of honor and I do keep my word, suddenly the terms changed. Now I had to give him two months to train. I had to sign a waiver. I then had to pay him $2,000.
I have 2 conditions:
You will sign a waiver form. And pay me 2000 Dollars. 2 months from now were on. If you wanna carry on, thats it.
I dont brawl for free like you claim to do. I dont have Guns. I am serious person.
Think about all that, and get back to me...
LOL, it was three conditions. Of course, he claimed that he didn't back down. No, he only changed the conditions in his favor. I accepted the challenge as presented. No new "conditions", no forms to sign, no training time, no money having to be paid. (Note, only I have to pay whether I win or lose, in addition to the cost of the trip and the time off.) I wanted to settle it as originally presented like men of honor and men that keep their word.
So now we have here with you two virtually identical situations. Everyone has seen how I handled the situation and now we will see what kind of man of honor you claim to be. Either follow through with your threat or simply admit that you are a big mouth and not a man of your word nor are you a man of honor as you like to preach.
This is a pretty black and white situation with no wiggle room. Let's see if you are a man of your word or how you will try to weasel out of this one trying to save face.
