Since when do Indians consider themselves Asian?
« on: August 17, 2020, 08:51:44 AM »
I know a shitload of Indians growing up and today and I've never heard one ever consider themselves Asian.  Sure their country is in Asia but they never say they're Asian yet this Kamala Harris is calling herself half Asian.

We all know when you say Asian, you're referring to Chinese people.  Whoever in their life said they're craving Asian food and head out for Indian cuisine?  Fuck, look at that Hot Asian thread, how many Indians in that?

The funny thing is for the DNC convention, they just added Andrew Yang to be a speaker.  he wasn't originally invited but I guess the true and only Asian in the Democrat Party not being invited shows the real truth about them so they added him last minute after the Kamala Harris VP choice was made.

If the majority of migrants from Asia in that country are from China etc then they get called Asian. If the majority are from the Indian subcontinent then they will end up being called Asian.

yet this Kamala Harris is calling herself half Asian.

Typical political trickery to expand her reach. She's half Indian and half Jamaican. She is riding the African American card pretty hard, when we know that if you ask Jamaicans what they identify with, they usually say Black, but not African American (See below where CNN poster boy Don Lemon challenges Harris' claims of being African American). Likewise, she is Indian, but to broaden her reach, she'll just go ahead and label herself Asian.

I spent some time reviewing her record as both CAs Attorney General + Senator and I tell you man, it's a tale of Flip Flopping on most issues. She changes her stance depending on what group she is pandering to. She's also one of the black community's biggest enemies.

Incredible how just last week she was calling Biden a racist and today she is his best friend.

So I guess we can no longer say Arabs but call them Asians as well.   Go find an Arab and ask if he’s Asian and see what he says to you.

People from the Orient used to be called Orientals but that is now "offensive" in the PC culture so they changed in to Asians.  As usual, everything the left touches is more fucked up than it was before.

Political Abomination, not one Afro-American in that photo.  Black people, esp women, have to be out of their minds to fall for this bullshit.  I knew this woman identified as Indian in California.  Jamacian thing is all lies also.

Black Americans will deny a quadron her proven genetic blackness but fall for this bullshit.

Vote Jennifer Beals, a proven black.

Political Correctness and the MSM calls the citizens of the Indian sub continents "Asians".  There are four main racial groups in India, non which are Asian. With hues (skin tones) from very light to very dark skins.

There is a sub culture of the Caucasian race, mostly in the norther parts of India. Being Caucasian does not always mean a white skinned person, far from it.

Warning..political stuff ahead:   With the Islamic terrorist doing  uncontrolled damage, and  after the 9-11 event, the MSM began slowly referring to some Middle Easterner's (overwhelming Muslims) as Asian. Probably trying not to connect Muslims/Middle East peoples with these terrorist attacks around the world. This includes Political Correctness. Today it might take a little searching to find the word Muslim connected to the word terrorist; as Muslim Terrorist.  That's a no no in the MSM and PC handbook. Other more trustworthy news outlets and reporting may use that term.

So if Middle Eastern Muslim terrorist blow up schools with children inside, than that would be called acts by a band of Asians terrorist.

She is more Indian than black.

Her Jamaican father is fairly light skin and as is the case with a lot of the Caribbean, and thanks to the british empire he himself will have some Indian, white/Irish or maybe even some Chinese in him.

I think it's time to break up Asia into its proper continents.  because Arabs and Indians are not Asian.

Not really. Most curry places in the UK are ran by bangladeshis. Not indians

India is in the Asian subcontinent.

If you look at news reports about Ironage Ugandan dictator Idi Amin expelling East Indians from Uganda in 1972, they report him "expelling Asians".

I agree with you, but...the term Asian to refer to East Indian seems to have been around for a while, and is valid.

I know it is in Asia but ask any Arab, or Indian or anyone really not from Oriental countries and none would say they're asian or associate with being asian.  But now Kamala is promoting herself as being asian thinking she can appeal beyond her Indian roots.

Nope. Indians etc are from asia

Arabs are from Arabia

Iranians are from persia

Chinese are more oriental or from the far east.

Americans messed up the categorisations. UK usage is better as the kingdom was bending these regions over for hundreds of years

Russians are "Asian" too yo which is why I still, unironically, use the phrase "oriental" when it comes to people who are more "Sino-centric"a

plus, "oriental" is fucking WAYYYY sexier than "Asian"

listen- there is a BIG difference between "latinos" and "hispanics".....they're NOT the same thing

so we should bring back "oriental"
