Do you actually read the links you post?  The article is about why her attorney dropped her, not that the charge showed "lack of credibility" and was dropped:

When will politicians be confident enough to be single and will they get elected?  It seems a requirement that you must be married to run for high office.

He determined her rape charge against Biden couldn't be proven in court and found her story lacking key details.
In summary, that indicates a lack of credibility to make a charge . Reade also made a dubious claim about being a "domestic abuse victim" expert. She isn't.

Bottom line is that no credible charge was brought against Biden.

Good point.

Common wisdom indicates America doesn't like  electing a single man ( or woman) for POTUS.
Plus, they need to have children ( at least 1 ).

Grover Cleveland back in 1887 was the only lifetime unmarried US President. He was briefly engaged however.
I also believe, Buchanan was unmarried when elected in 1857.
BOTH of them were a looooooong time before TV was a major form of political coverage.
