As a Brit watching this, I’m glad the BLM stupidity hasn’t spread its idiotic agenda of pointless destruction to the UK.
I’m a firm believer in the value of hierarchies. Attempting to equalise human hierarchical structures will not result in more progress.
For all those wishing to transcend upward in the human hierarchy, the path is obvious: deliver value to enough of the influencing elements within the hierarchy. The only way to evolve the hierarchy is to acquire power and influence within it.
And herein lies the problem facing BLM as I see it: anger at injustice is a righteous cause (and there should be a substantive debate on what has occurred in specific instances), but destruction in pursuit of a nebulous cause (which has gone beyond potential abuse of police power), that demonstrates no value to large parts of the hierarchy, and ignores the data on the realities of the offences perpetrated by the very hierarchical subset that is demanding improvements, is only going to hurt their cause and damage the whole.
“Lead by example“ is a saying that springs to mind and which begs the question: what examples are your leadership setting? When you have leaders like Trump and Biden both selling discord and division, is it any wonder your country is in a state of internal combustion and brimming with hatred?
If the US is the leading example of multiculturalism, we should all think very carefully before following their lead.
