I actually defend the right of the St Louis couple to defend their home .
An angry mob of protestors , mangled an iron gate to enter this private community .
They wanted to protest at the Mayor's home and passed by this couples property.
I'm a democrat but I'm a former US Marine and support the 2nd amendment.
I own the same AR-15 he had along with several other weapons, strictly for home defense.
The group never entered his home , and they never fired on the protest mob.
To be honest, my wife and I would do the same thing, if some group or robber tried to enter our property with bad intentions.
Having said that, I wouldn't carry my AR-15 or shot gun to ANY political rally or protest.
I'm all for free speech, political rallies and organized peaceful marches.
BUT, chaotic , random protests shouldn't be allowed to block roads or disrupt life.
