Powell Jobs owns a 70% stake in The Atlantic, and she reportedly communicates often with its editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg.Goldberg published an anonymously-sourced story Thursday alleging that President Donald Trump had denigrated fallen American soldiers.

But the problem for Trump, even if this were completely fabricated as you say, is that it sounds exactly like something he WOULD say, based on his Twitter history of calling everyone losers. I don’t know if they will do exit polling on active duty military on Election Day, but it will be interesting to see how they break between Biden and Trump. As far as top military brass in DC go, I am sure they will keep their votes very private. They may have accidental slips of their fingers in the polling booth.

Unlike on this Board, there are LOTS of Americans who have not made up their minds yet or who may change their minds at the last minute. For example, the recent violence and looting certainly pulls these voters toward Trump. But the nastiness that Trump constantly displays (whether this particular instance is true or false who knows) definitely pulls toward Biden. We will know in two months which is the greater pull (possibly about 50/50 right now).

Good point about the riots, but this is just another “He said, she said”  bullshit smear attempt. They’ve been doing this for four years. It’s meaningless. The riots are real. There’s actual property damage done and people getting killed.

That was the central claim of the hit piece, and he backtracked.
