Trump should've brought the military in many months ago and cracked some skulls open.  His main responsibility is to make sure US citizens are safe.  Who gives a fuck what these governors want/say.

The Democrats went full retard and moved further left to the more extreme.

Trump is absolutely doing the right thing by standing firm. He now doesn't appear extreme vs the Democrats and he will grab more of the middle swinging voters. If he instead enforces martial law, that moves him to the extreme right and inline with Demoncrats which will be a negative for him (i get what you say but swinging voters won't buy it). That's why Trump is holding firm.

If the Democrats lose by a wide margin, they will change their tune and move back to a closer to centre left position that is more normal. They are already extreme left. If they lose and push further left that would make a major party virtually a cult. No way. They will lose.so many voters they wouldn't be a party anymore.

My bet is there are a few bad riots straight away but then Dems will kill the BLM and Antifa messaging and it will die off. They won't have the power to keep pushing extreme politics without voters.

You're right. Cartels are plenty powerful. They probably have political pull in some areas in the US in addition to actually being the government south of the border. As wealthy as they are, I'd be surprised if they don't have a few russian nukes lying around. We should have slain that dragon years ago.
