I'd put this as low middle in terms of dosing. I also don't believe the 4 wks on, bunch of weeks off, I think he just didn't want to sound like a drug pig to the doctors.Edit - On the Dianabol, I'd consider 50-100mg/day pretty average now a days.
All depends. If they are 10 mg pills its not too crazy (if done for short 4-week cycle). If they are 50 mg pills, then yes, 500 mg's a day of D-Bol will fry a liver pretty quickly.

When it comes to these types of hepatic tumors it's not necessarily dosage related. The liver is a major site for hormone metabolism. These tumors are usually tied to synthetic estrogen but androgens can also play a roll so more bodybuilders are being looked at. We had two bodybuilders with liver tumors in the southern area of my tiny populated state. One had a football size benign tumor which burst and another with a full blown carcinoma requiring resection and chemo. He survived the liver cancer only to succumb to lymphoma at 34. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17261770/I usually just pick one study to use as an example but if you look at the references they on the studies they often contain up to 30+. For example; I have shown how BMI has become is a major contributing factor to kidney scarring and failure in bodybuilders (just like fat people). Most are in denial in regards to this. Add the toxic compounds, the high protein intake and, well you know the outcome.

Maybe, as you said, towards the end of his life, he realized that he did not have a bodybuilding legacy.Does anyone know exactly what led to Derek's initial poor health? Was it synthol being processed by his kidneys?
