Could have had close to that body naturally instead of the drug route. The difference is the odds are he would have had great health.  Just seen this so many times. Guys pursuing the syringe and vial life style throwing away health and career possibilities. These steroid guys become mini celebrities but it's all based on bull shit.

Instant gratification at a huge price later on.

I keep seeing "AF" a lot these days. What does that stand for?

eating meat sulfur rich , calcium loss kidney loss ect

Then why isn't everybody suffering from kidney and liver failure all over the world? There is a tribe of Eskimos that eat only caribou? They only eat meat. They have been around for centuries.

-- Pure bro-science/BS warning --

It strikes me that the ectomorphs that start off ripped and hammer the gear to get big (while staying low BF% without much suffering) might be those most likely to:

a.  suffer the worst bigorexia, so
b.  stay on the tren, etc. for 10+ years (as in this guy)

Like who?  Well this guy, Flex Wheeler, that Zyzz fella, even Tom Prince - the 'before' pics of all these guys are skinny AF... who wants to go back to being a pencil neck?  Especially if you met your (much more famous and successful) woman while you were on, and she has no clue just how skinny you really are underneath so you can't come off...

-- End BS --

I think most people who got into bbing started off as skinny.

Nice forearms.

And seriously, what’s the thing with all these tattoos? In almost every case with the “bombardment” style of being a doodling board for some punk “artist”, no one can even recognize what any of the ink smatterings are.

Looks like little more than bruising and road dirt from a motorcycle crash.

When I see tattoos, I see desperation. A begging for mercy. Weakness.

On that note ...

This whole tattoo culture has to end, go back to being the underground thing

It’s not cool anymore, and you don’t look any tougher, played out about a decade ago

Live to pose, pose to live.  What they see in the mirror is a facade. They know this and still they ignore the real message and polish their ego.

Life is temporary enough.  It's even more so when you're really stupid.  These guys are really, really, REALLY stupid.  It's written all over their vapid faces.  And on the man, it's tattooed everywhere else.  Fuck 'em.

The number one risk factor for aortic dissection is uncontrolled high blood pressure. Dissection can lead to the formation of an aneurysm and the dominos begin to fall (renal failure).  I'm guessing there was some atherosclerosis and LVH to boot.

44 is certainly young for all of this.

The first "sign" was the liver failing according to the posts? But yeah, I was guessing it might not be the liver that caused all this to begin with.

I agree with you. This fad is played out. I live near the beach in NJ and it's not uncommon to see grandma, mom, dad and kids on the beach to together with tats. On another note I was on a South Carolina beach a week ago and found tats were rare compared to NJ. Maybe the fad is fading out. When I was a young the only people with tats were bikers and military guys.

I feel the same way about steroids. Just about everyone except the clueless know the muscles came from a pill and a syringe. Everyone knows they are temporary.

Even very few athletes had tats in the 70's and 80's.  Rod Koontz the bodybuilder had "animal" tattooed on his shoulder and that was very rare to see.  The first time I saw Dorian Yates in Muscle Training Illustrated with all those tats I thought he must have been the biggest dirtbag in bodybuilding. ;D

Joe Weider forced Dorian to remove one of his tats before getting a Weider contract, which he did.
I saw that video with Palumbo and Jew Arne List, and Arne was really bitter Dorian wasn't banned from bb outright back then for suspected racism. :D

Seriously, I hope this guy recovers.  Reading all his medical problems is a warning to the others who are taking all these drugs.  Not worth it.

All the best for this guy... He still has a long road ahead as his numbers are a way off and he still has surgery etc....

I wonder if he was into recreational drugs? As that could explain it a bit better.

Either that or unfortunate genetics coupled with steroid use.

This won't do anything to reduce PED use, noteven if there were a hundred similar cases. Fact of the matter is we are talking about this guy instead of some natural dude, so guys in this industry, who want some type of minor notoriety, will do drugs despite any risks. This guy, if he recovers enough to live, will be back on drugs within days. Death isn't worse than living as a fragile "nobody".
