The "Gay Games" is the big one. It was actually the first big Olympicy type event to to have a bodybuilding as a category, that always makes me laugh. I've never seen much footage from them, but most of the name bodybuilders and powerlifters could probably clean up at it. And the schoming prospects have to be unbelievable.
That clip is interesting. The lesbian bench press contest at the start is hilarious, some of those girls wore more hardened game faces than most men, and the bodybuilding at 7:45 ish is also interesting. You'd think there'd be some mass monsters at these types of things, but they tend to favor light competitors.
One also has to wonder how many of the people at the 1982 contest would pass of AIDS in the coming years. Just one of those morbid thoughts that goes through your mind.
