The first stages will see massive nationwide looting which the police and the army will be unable to control. Many of the police officers and army recruits own families will also be short of food and have no access to health care. Then - it will be the REAL Purge! Democracy and freedom!

An actual all out civil war is super unlikely to happen. Insugencies funded by china russia cartel etc could happen but then we will do the same to them. Times 100.

republicans heavily favored in a civil war.. we have more guns, more ammo.... many pissed off people who dont say much are stock piling guns and ammo... im ready... 8 thousand total rounds of .556, 12g slugs, 00 buckshot, .40 cal, and 308.... just purchased some rubber bullets too.... so i can shoot that punk ass kid trying to rob my car in the driveway

Good start, but you'll most likely need 10x that amount.  I'm up to 70K now.

Fortunately, there's really no hard core militant groups in Hawaii. We have our Trump and Biden rallies where they drive by in their cars waving their signs and people either cheer or boo. But in my lifetime living here I've never seen any rioting and looting. The weather is too good here so there's other things they rather do -- like nothing, the pot flows freely, and people are just too lazy. One of the most common phrases here among the locals is, "Ain't no beeg ting, bruddah."

Those are my sentiments as well.

I expect things to escalate to different degrees in different areas, while other places will just remain "business as usual."

You need to use the correct rifle for the correct distance.  The majority of the encounters during a civil unrest will be under 100 yards.  458 tends to drop quickly; 100-150 yards tops.  Regular AR is good for about 200-400 yards.  308 is good for 500-600 yards.
