I don't know anyone else's backgrounds on here, but I was active duty USMC 40 years ago.
I'm no decorated war hero, but have some understanding of what large scale armed conflict means.
You may have no idea , what hell on earth , a "civil war" can bring.

Yes, I'm a gun enthusiast and hope to GOD my AR-15 or .38 pistol , etc ,is only used on the practice range.
There is nothing glamorous about a high velocity shooting wound or limbs amputated from them.

I'd invite you to watch posted videos on active combat scenes from Syria, Iraq, etc.
Look at the burned out, exploded buildings, lack of infra structure or basic services.

I know you're some invincible Rambo, but, people get killed when the shooting starts.
In war people don't always fight fair and some resort to bombs or suicide attacks.
When the bodies start dropping, it's not much fun anymore. Trust me , life sucks and you gonna pray for it to end.

I bought a bow flex and have been using that during the pandemic.
Kinda sucks compared to the gym but at age 62 , my joints feel better for the change.

I DEFINITELY agree that there are far too many people willing to discuss “civil war” and “what they would do in ..... situation”.  I am sure that you will agree - even when you’ve trained DAILY and intensely for years - you don’t necessarily know how you’ll handle it when the shit goes down and bullets are shredding human flesh.
