Just a warning for Getbig forum readers...

EVERY TIME I read/open a thread with Marty Champions in it I get a phishing warning from Malwarebytes.  

I emailed Ron about it a month ago and I don't think he ever addressed it.  Maybe Ron is Marty

Is GH-15 officially banned? He'd be a big buy. A lot of folks would jump at the chance to deal with him again. And you could be off, and no one would know for a while because the account was so quirky.

Also, I bet the female mods could fetch a lot for their accounts.

The Pros would do the worst, too easy to disprove.

Suspicions aside (I've had my own towards that account), when it comes to older members, we put it up for discussion with the rest of the moderator team. Trust me, I barely ban anyone now and would much rather open the floodgates, but we work as a team and make concerted decisions.

In the meantime, we will look further into the issue and decide whether Marty is the real Falcón or not.

I may remember incorrectly, but didn't you (or some other mod) say in a thread that it was verified it was the real Marty?

How would this even be possible? If he is just a user of Getbig than it is up to the forum software. There are no attachments in his posts that you are downloading and opening up. So just curious from a technical standpoint how this would work. I know a bit about computers so just curious where you're coming from.

There was someone here who set up a phoney website and posted the link on here...When you clicked on it you went to his website and he would mine your data.

For us that are less computer literate, please explain a bit further.

Did someone set up an outside website for Marty Champion and upon folks going there, the website would in turn mine your data? If so, does that essentially make Marty the proverbial bait/worm at the end of the Phishing rod (ie an accomplice to the scam)?

Providing OMR did not delete all his posts, go read any thread that Marty posted to... you will get the Malwarebytes "Phishing" warning.  The website that Malwarebytes shows is: Energy Science Forum.com  - but do not search for or go to the website!

OMR, if you banned the account and deleted all the posts, none of the phishing warnings will appear for me anymore.

I didn't delete all posts.

I simply banned username + email associated with that account.

All posts are still visible. Again, this is just a safety measure until we are able to review the situation.

This thread is a few years old.  On this page get 2 phishing warnings, but Marty is not on this page, did he have several accounts here?

To anyone else running Malwarebytes... let me know if you get the same warnings.

This is a false positive. Who would be so demented and use Antivirus in 2020 anyway..?
