Lomachenko or Lopez?

Lo wins 10 out of 10 times.

When your father is your trainer, it gives you a special advantage, and 15 professional bouts is a great start.

Been hearing a lot of comparisons to Mayweather vs Canelo.  I'm not buying that.  I harken back to 2000 when Lennox Lewis was set to defend against Big Michael Grant.  The undefeated 21st century heavyweight.  Lennox viewed him as a threat and went right at him and got him out in the 2nd round.

I don't think Loma gets him out quite that early but I think he will run Teo into something big and stop him in 5 or 6.

Teofimo has youth, size and power on his size. He’s ultra fast twitch and can close the distance quicker than anyone... but I can’t pick against a guy who went 396-1 as an amateur and has 2 gold medals. He’s also beaten and dominated a slew of world champions and made a few quit. I think Loma survives some sketchy moments and possibly gets hurt or dropped along the way, but his pedigree and experience will get him a clear UD.

I got Lopez by easy decision. Loma tends to start too slow and plays catchup but Lopez won’t let him.  ;D

I was being cute - I had Lomachenko in mind.

I did not see this coming.  Loma must've been downloading by dial-up connection.  By round six it seemed too late for Loma to
mount a winning offense, and so it was.

Loma is a finished product - and a great one at that.  But Lopez is still learning.

Reminds me of Michael Moorer rampaging as a light heavyweight.  22-0, all by KO.

loma's contract is up with top rank, teo can sell tickets in ny after covid, and bob is no fool.  teo carries legit 140 power.  loma gets stopped in a rematch if he tries to engage him early vs waiting 7 rounds. even a slightly punched out teo still hurt him in the 12th.  safe bet is for loma to go back to 130.

Loma will push for the rematch.  If they fight again with 6-9 months, I'll go out on a limb and say Loma gets the W.  This would be the perfect scenario to set up the rubber match, which by that time will hopefully allow for a packed MSG.

Loma can't fight off the back foot, just shells up like Clotty and take punches off the gloves or to the body.  No way he can engage Teo in the 1st half of the fight when he is fresh.  Loma moving up with his short stubby limbs and no power is like Shawn Porter trying to fight 6'0 Jermell Charlo at 154. Teo is like Jermall Charlo draining himself to 154 when he should have been in 160.  JRock found out the hard way and so will Loma.

If you noticed, Teo threw the same uppercut but Loma kept slipping to the right early in the fight to avoid it. It landed in the 12 th with less steam and still rocked him

I don't mind a rematch but it's going to be Wilder/Fury 2.

I saw the same thing, i just kept waiting for Loma to speed things up and start landing, but he really never got going.  Only had a few minutes here and there of dominance.

I didn't think Loma would have a problem with this fight, but by the 8th round i knew Lopez would get a decision unless he got KO'ed.

Looking forward to watching Lopez in the future.

A rematch should happen.  1st half of the fight absolutely sucked.  2nd half was both action packed and compelling.  I scored it 7-5 for Lopez but admittedly, I probably shouldn't have given round 2 to Loma so 8-4 was a legit score.  9-3 and 11-1 just tells me that those judges got complacent with the rhythm of the first half of the fight and weren't paying very close attention.  I think the rematch will be much, much more entertaining.

Based on the judges score cards i doubt they will rematch.  Those first 6 rounds were pretty terrible for Loma.  He's a slow starter, but waiting until half the fight is over to show any effort is silly.  He landed a few good shots in the 2nd round, but Lopez controlled the ring, could go either way.

To me, it looked like Loma was scared of Lopez' power, he did not look good at all.  If he could open up in the first 3-4 rounds and push forward, he could win this fight easily.

No.  He needs another 2 years off to relearn some traditional Ukranian dance moves and then make a boxing comeback.
