Genuine question for you guys with teenage kids or younger. How do you/did you approach social media with them? Restrict it Just let them have it like everyone else? Do you have conversations about it with them?
I really wouldn't want to be a teen growing up these days. My godson is a good lad - 14 years old. Last time I spoke to him he was down in the dumps because the girls at his school ignore all the normal guys, or the guys with no real social media presence. My godson plays soccer, isn't interested in whatever platform is popular right now and tells me unless you're some kind of player on social media, you have no chance of getting a girlfriend.
Of course, I tell him those girls don't matter and wait 'til he's older, but that doesn't make a bit of difference at his age.
I don't have kids. If I did, I have no idea how I'd navigate this social media landscape with them.
