Really? I remember the last 4 years quite differently. I remember the constant ridicule from Trumpers toward me and other dems on this forum. I tried to be polite or at least funny and was harshly insulted by numerous pro-Trump posters
When a mature man loses, he accepts it with grace, humility and dignity.
Trump owes his supporters that courtesy , along with the nation he led for the past 4 years.
If you Trumpers want to ignore reality and pretend the mythical "deep state" cheated for Trump, have at it.
You're yelling foul in a pro-Trump echo chamber.
Trump failed to deal with the covid crisis in a competent manner.
That was his most important task, and Trump miserably failed .
Trump had his time in the sun, BUT that sun has set .
A new day dawns with a new morning in America .
So my dear Trumpers, lick your wounds and get back up in the game.
We all win some and lose some.
We need a viable republican party to keep dems from going off the liberal cliff on the left.
I'm willing to move fwd as political equals and treat former Trumpers with respect and dignity.
* Will you join me?
I'm not a Trumper, dummy. I'm anti Democrat, anti dishonest media, and anti big tech content manipulation. Have said it for over 2 years.
When the Democrats lost in 2016, I thought for a moment they might look at themselves in the mirror and ask "why?", possibly get younger, more dynamic, and more centrist. But they did not, they went on to blame Trump for everything, and classified those who voted for him as brainless racists. Then they went into full 24/7 attack mode. Trump got credit for literally nothing - not for the economy, not for a better trade deal, not for keeping us out of wars, not for killing terrorists, not for prison reform, not for having the first gay cabinet member, not even for having a hot wife. Everything was "yeah, but".
I found myself defending the man because of the blatant lies - shit, the "very fine people" MYTH was not only brought up at the debate as if it were true, Biden kicked off his campaign with it.
It's easy to see what happened in plain sight - Pelosi caved on an impeachment she knew she couldn't win, took focus away from re-election, then Democrats realized they were going to get Bernie and couldn't win with him, so they rigged it to have Mayor Pete and Klobuchar to drop before Super Tuesday to get Biden more votes, and we were left with a career politician with possible health issues, and a VP chosen for gender/race over qualifications.
And, with the media, hollywood, athletes, and big tech in their pocket, they likely squeak out an election win, lose House seats, and likely don't get the Senate. They got Biden in because of Covid, and Covid only.
So now, being realistic, I don't expect calls for unity to fall on anything but deaf ears. The hysterical housewives and betas who lived on social media and were guided by the "orange man bad" disease are going to be severely disappointed if they think Biden's going to cure anything.
