There's a difference between the polls and the actual count following an election. The main difference being that the polls are for predicting an election and are therefore pre-election. As soon as election day happens, the polls stop polling for that election. Results are post-election. It is pointless to ask people how they are going to vote after they've already voted. You could ask them how they voted. Not sure the poll would be very large. The numbers and the map you see on RCP are the same numbers and map that they had up before the election.
