Lol, why did I watch that?

Gym on a budgets don't include $300 battle ropes and Rogue Assault bikes.....or Rogue anything for that matter.

Oh, and you don't build a $6,000+ place to put them in.

Nice shed though.

I know it, the Shed itself is costly.

This guy has a nice gym, but the old lady deadlifting, with twisted spine, knee's about to collapse, not too smart. (Cringey).
1 injury she never walks again and is out to pasture.

This guy must have a good source of income from somewhere.

Does this Coop dude even lift? You can get better arms and shoulders just using a pair of dumbbells that cost maybe $100-150 these days.

This.  First thing I thought was "who did he build it for?  Certainly not himself."

When I was in high school my buddy built a shed in his back yard. We combined equipment and had a nice set up. In the summer is was hot as hell. In the winter we used a kerosene heater that filled the shed with fumes. What was awkward was he drifted away from lifting and I didn't so I would show up at his house all the time to lift.

Most of my life I've had a home set up whether a shed, basement or garage. When I had my current house built I told the builder I would pay extra for a 9 foot ceiling. I wanted to lift over head and make sure I had clearance for stuff like a lat machine.

The past five years or so I joined a commercial gym and trained mainly there.  It was fun working out with other people even if I kept the bull shitting with people to a minimum. As everyone knows some people are there for the social bs over the training. During covid I reconnected with my home gym and realized I fell back in love with the solitude and even the zen of being in the basement toiling away.  The quality of the workouts were the same. Right now I have no desire to go back and I'm even in the market for a neck machine to expand my insanity. I have a lot of equipment.

The truth is unless you are a drug using bodybuilder competing you really don't need a lot of different pieces of equipment. Seen guys with very minimal equipment that look amazing.

Anyone thinking about training at home couldn't go wrong with adjustable dumbbells and a simple bench. Maybe a chin bar.

Well put OT!  I don't miss the local gym after working out at home. Too much waiting for equipment to free up unless I happened to go in at 10 AM on a weekday.

You can build an amazing physique just using a pair of dumbbells- preferably ones that go to 100 pounds each with 10 pound plates. Even doing presses off the floor can give you an amazing pec workout, without any shoulder damage.

I just use my bicycle for sprinting to keep my legs strong. I happen to have a powermeter (measures watts) on my racing bike and use it to keep track of my sprinting. Its far better than weights because it tracks peak power and there is no way to cheat at it. If you can turn 1400 or more watts for 10 seconds, your legs will get big- no if, ands or buts.

Do I get a discount if I order from the "lame ass" dumbbell category?

Arthur Jones said a chinning bar and dip bars are all you need.

The chinning bar for back and biceps, dips for chest, shoulders and triceps, pistol squats for thighs and one leg calf raises for calves.

He said once you could do ten one arm chins your arms would be as good as they could get.

I think he was right.

Yes, body weight stuff is just as good as lifting.  I can hear the gasp.  You can turn the greatest powerlifter and Olympia contestant into someone that will say that body weight stuff is just to hard.

Only if you rip a big ole Taco Bell burrito fart directly into a zip log bag, seal it and make sure to send in with your order

if that were true then why did he bother building all those machines

Arthur Jones said a lot of nutty things and I'm fairly certain he couldn't do a single one arm chin

It's probably been the better part of a decade since that fat, sloppy retard has seen the inside of a gym.

Is the price similar to IM Straw?  1K for a pair of 100 lb bells is pretty steep IMO (only).
I know they are adjustable and all that, but still.
