I sort of agree. Most folks who have gone back to the gym and have gotten sick or positive results are most likely keeping their mouths shut so as not to endure another gym shut down.

Get some buckets filed with shit and do some walking lunges.. Standing squats etc... For a one of workout it will work well for you.

im considering actually paying for weights. which will cost roughly $800 if i get a barbell and olympic plates. thats the price for cement plates mind you, iron will cost substantially more. probably 1200 at least.

nothing will stop me i have made friends with a local shop thats going to makee whatever i want out of steel and for much less than 3$ a lb people are charging for iron.

Turn the negative into a positive. This could be a good chance to try some unconventional exercises or training methods.

Add weights or something heavy to a back pack. Go to a high school track and do 1 set long stride lunges for 30 reps, take the back pack off, do a HIT 40 yard dash, back to the back pack, and do 30 reps of deep knee bend lunges.

4 sets of these will fry your legs.

seriously considering pulling the trigger here 800$ will get me 10 45s 2 25s 2 10s and a olympic barbell and im.meeting some guy to buy a mini power rack for $200... really sucks i dont want to spend this much. but i dont see any alternatives...

The various gyms I workout at all close tomorrow, due the huge rise in Covid-19 cases in this and several other counties. Oregon's governor announced this late last week. It was in the Oregonian and on the News. They'll be closed at least until early December. If there isn't a reduction in the number of cases being reported, they will remain closed until there is. Restaurants and Bars are back to take out only. It's almost like another shutdown.

A lot of business which are on the edge of financial ruin won't survive this. It's a damn shame! If only more people had worn masks and avoided large crowds and Trump rallies. Only one gym I go to required folks wear a masks regardless of whether they were working out or not. Not sure how restaurants and bars were supposed to enforce mask wearing since one obviously can't eat or drink wearing a mask, as far as I know.

Did California's governor not give any warning? How rude! Maybe he did and so you missed out on the announcement because you probably don't subscribe to mainstream news media.

Yup, that's what I read. It's not a problem for me because I always wear a mask when I go shopping or to the gym, etc. Since I'm not a Trump fan, I didn't attend any of the rallies for him.
