A test for kidney stones or pre kidney stones at home?

Been eating a whole pack dry 16 oz of cooked beans or lentils perday. My lower back feels kinda tight lately. This amount of beans tends to give me some indigestion or acid reflux which is mitigated with a whey shake since calcium is neutralizing.

Is there a test i could take to see if this amount of beans are bad on kidneys

I have really high energy and good clean skin and no gum issues or flareups from beans just some very mild lower back tightness

Potassium Citrate to avoid forming and to some degree reducing stones and softening them so they can dissipate

I nearly died last year after kidney stone surgery, they are no joke

Had a guy that I use to work with describe his kidney stone horror show. He's a former Marine and he works out hard in the weight room. He said it was the worst pain he has ever felt. Said it's close to passing out pain. In the hospital he passed a stone and blood poured out of his penis.

I have both and kidney pain is far worse, the stone blocks the tube draining the kidney into your bladder causing the kidney to swell, its like nothing else i have ever encountered, way worse than two forced reps...

Kidney stone pain is like being stabbed relentlessly with an ice pick in your side for however long it takes for the stone to pass- which could be many days. Only a shot of Dilaudid (hydromorphone) made the pain stop. Side note: that's the first drug I was ever given that made me realize why people become addicted to opioids. It was like I was floating in an alternate universe for 5-6 hours, lol.

As you and I have talked before, kidney stones are  hell. I got sepsis from the kidney stone surgery (Lithotripsy) because bacteria was introduced during the procedure. I thought the surgeon was joking when he said I had 24 hours to live had I not gotten on the right antibiotics in time. Holy shit. Kidney stones are serious business.

A simple test is to measure your urine acidity (or pH) daily. That controls stone formation in most cases. You want your urine to be greater than a pH of 6 and closer to 7. Simple pH test strips from Amazon will do the trick and costs about $7 for a bottle of them.

If you want to research kidney stone formation, the web pages of Dr Fredric Coe, University of Chicago, are a great place to start. The guy is one of the top kidney stone experts in the world.

i nearly died when they took the stent out!... legs in birth harnesses, 2 nurses pushing down on my shoulders, and a scope camera that seemed like it was a garden hose... not fun.. doc pulled out the stent like he was starting a fuckin lawnmower.

15 years ago I had a scan and I had a sub mm stone in a kidney... I wonder how big it is now....

lol at people who think vegan diets automatically prevent kidney stones and won't  wreck kidneys. Oxalates are primarily in plants you goombah. Limiting meat will lead to less uric acid based stones but eating kale and spinach all day will lead to an increase in oxalate stones. If your back is" tight" it isn't due to kidney stone formation. That is an unmistakable flank pain that feels like someone is starting to punch you.

The only major health problem I've ever had in my life was 20 years ago when my appendix crapped out.  No pain in my gut at all, but I had a 104-105 fever for 3 days straight.  I took Tylenol to deal with it, but it only worked for about 2 hours then the fever was back.  Way better than DNP... I was totally ripped when I got out of the hospital

Been there as well pal, when I had mine out the nurse had flashing deer antlers on her fucking head (23rd December) I said "take those off this is fucking serious, its not a joke"
