The comment was in redards to the 2022 BMW iX, an electric crossover which in many ways is a drastic change for BMW.  Both the interior and exterior are bland and not sexy enough to be a BMW.  Their customers agree with me.  BMW is playing damage control trying to imply anyone who doesn't love the iX is an old fashioned Baby boomer who's not keeping up with the times.  It's a dangerous game to play.  Especially insulting baby boomers who have been life long customers.  I predict this will not end well, but i"m enjoying the shit show.

What affect will autonomous driving have on the ultimate driving machine?  Time will tell.

BMW's head designer talks about the design.  BMW understands this vehicle is huge divergence from their current design.  BMW customers don't like any radical change.  When the 7 series came out with the “Bangle Butt” in 2001, customers were not happy.  This is basically the Bangle butt applied to the whole car.
