No, you are wrong. AA is still very prevalent. Both officially and "unofficially". Even in the Biden administration, it is obvious that he is paying close attention to minority appointments and even boasting about it. "Looking like America." A minority will always get a pass and get away with things socially and culturally that a White man could never get away with. Name the last time a Black man suffered any consequences for making a racist remark?
And I said 87% of JOURNALIST identified themselves as Democrat so "yes way".
You are a Black man and it is obvious to everyone except you that you see all things through the prism of race and will always favor minorities especially Blacks.
No, everything I said was accurate. As for "unofficial" affirmative, race is factored into favoring non-minority candidates all the time. I'm sure you're already pounding out a reply about how that doesn't happen, there's no proof, etc., but you obviously think it must be true if you think a majority of the media being dems automatically means media bias is fact.
And, yes, I know you said journalists- I brought up the comparison to a blue state because it's more likely that you would see that type of concentration in an area of the country than a profession. I looked into that statistic some more and it seems like you're talking about
this. They break down the number at the bottom of the page: Of an estimated 100,000 newsroom jobs, they located 300 donations. Of those 300, they were able to confirm 144 people. That's .001 of journalists, not all journalists. And, no, it doesn't even serve as a reasonable sample of the industry because many news companies don't allow political donations, while other companies didn't allow certain positions to donate. This data was collected between 2004-07. It wasn't a survey of political parties, it was records of donations. Those aren't the same things, specifically during those years, when a republican president with some of the worst approval ratings is obviously going to get fewer donations. Yeah, there's evidence that there's a higher percentage of dems working in news, but nowhere near 87%.
And, no, I don't see all things through a prism of race, but when I participate in DISCUSSIONS ABOUT RACE that are one-sided, preaching-to-the-choir wankfests, I speak from my perspective. I'm not sure why you think you've intuited something that I am very intentional and transparent about.
