i think you are right about a lot of trump supporters fading...but not totally.. itd be bad for the dems even if half of these true rednecks, black, latinos, ect... im talking dumbass people who were clueless before trump,, actually learned something about government... i wont follow politics near as much as i have for the past 5 years... politics is boring imo... donald made it entertaining...but ill still vote.. i dont care who is running the country as long as im not taxed to hell and we are not in any major wars....
Good, honest post . Thanks for adding some sincere, thoughtful input to this thread.
I'm a boring dumbass, so I prefer boring (and competent) elected officials.
Trump is entertaining and had a good run as a reality TV celeb and NYC personality before his presidency.
Having said THAT, you wouldn't want a dentist who told great jokes to drill a tooth, unless they were good at dentistry.
Trump was more into entertaining people then he was in governing America.
He loves cheering rallies and looks bored dealing with COVID or basic legislation, etc
You're 100% right that at least half (50%) if his current crowd will still follow him AFTER he leaves office.
However, in my OPINION, that number will gradually be reduced as time goes on.
I don't see him running again in 2024. I suspect he'll integrate with Newsmax or OAN to produce a more right wing/ pro Trump
network and FOX will quickly morph back into a more mainstream republican leaning news channel.
Of course, the SDNY and state of NY could bring up some serious tax and mortgage/Ins fraud charges on Trump.
Unless it's criminal charges , I suspect fat Donny will worm out of it with some shady settlement deal, but who knows?
Trump selling US national security info concerns is also out there.
