In the 20+ years that I have been visiting bodybuilding forums, I must say that out of all of them, this is and was always the best place.
I'll give you my reasons:
This is not a gestapo that suffers from over-moderation and tyranny. While we remove elements that threaten the personal lives & families of our guests, even that kind of member takes time to be removed, as we do look into complaints thoroughly and make a strong argument before someone gets banned.
For those that want great bodybuilding advice, we have many seasoned bodybuilders on the forum that offer fantastic advice. Many of them are just lifetime lifters, others are NPC competitors and in the past we used to have many IFBB pros (more on why the IFBB pros aren't here during my next point below).
When we had IFBB pros on the forum, we kept their assess honest. Many of them would try to sell you on the idea that everything was done with good nutrition, rest and hard work ethic. We would call them out and force them to tell the truth or by default would cause them to simply leave. The honest IFBB pros would stay and generally would do very well. Over 95% of them left, not because they were run out of here, but instead because those that were under contract by that piece of shit Blechman were forced to not post anywhere else but on his forum. A few others had similar deals with smaller supplement companies and even Flex back in the day. My friend, Bob Chick, was one of the last ones that held off before eventually HAVING to leave. Even so, for as much as some of you didn't like him, I thought he was pretty damn honest with most things. Still, on occasion, Shawn Ray and Kevin Levrone will drop their hit-n-run advertisements for a subscription service, new supplement or some other bullshit. Half the time, it's one of the lemmings that carry their gym bags for them that will actually log in and drop the one-liner.
When it came to hardcore steroid advice, we have a forum for that and over the years, we've had numerous experienced members & dealers that would share their guidance and peddle their products. Ultimately, if you befriend someone on the forum and you and that person develop a friendly relationship outside of here (with sharing of phone numbers and instant messaging info, ie WhatsAPP), we have no say in your personal dealings. Now, if you're selling roids on here and use the forum to advertise your services, then it becomes a problem we have to remove.
The humor I've witnessed here is second to none. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard as I have here while reading some of the material shared by our members. It's the kind of humor that transcends basic logic, as the premise behind some of these stories is far from the normal setup of a standard joke or comical story, but fuck have some of these stories made me almost die of laughter. I've also found myself guilty of using GetBig lingo during some instances. I am certainly very guilty of in the past sending an interdepartmental email with the last line before my signature reading, "Hope this helps".
We literally have members from all walks of life in our forum. I'm a lifetime accountant and help out many members privately with taxation matters. We have doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, stock brokers, lawyers, programmers, real estate agents, engineers and even male prostitutes that visit our forum.
Once you become a regular, we give you your space and accept you as one of our own. Even the guys that don't openly like each other on the forum, actually need one another to get their daily fix of oppositional thinking. It's like that fucking show cheers, a place where everyone knows your name.
Now, and this is an added caveat to the aforementioned above, we also have insane members on our forum. No, I mean literally batshit crazy members.
We don't charge a fee to our members, never have or will (As per Ron).
The ownings, my god the sheer ownings here, were a thing of legend.
