Easy to answer your why question. I know three people who shifted from Trump 2016 to Biden 2020, and I know no one who went the other direction. Multiply that by thousands and thousands. Those three people saw Trump as a savvy business person and change agent. Then they saw him as an unhinged crazy person. Granted, Trump’s support went up in some other areas (Latino men, for example) but that was way less than the likes of the three people I know multiplied so many times over.

Who gives a fuck what it looks like in Temperance, Traverse City, etc. I told you my experience in suburban Wayne County.
