to defend this era bodybuilders... in the 90's and early 2000's they had a way better stage lighting than now.

Even camera seemed to carry that extra sharpness ( not only the bodybuilders looked sharps but the background too).

Imagine how Big Ramy or Brandon would've looked under the 2002 NY pro lighting? 3x as freakish

Paco was underrated. Terrible structure, but the mass and conditioning that guy brought to stage was just nuts, made guys like Jay Cutler look off-season

Big Ramy has arms, tight waist and quads Yates never had. He's also 2x wider than Yates. Yates got conditioning (from the back) and the back over Ramy but that's it.
Ramy is a monster and won with a landslide with no controversy going on. He is the most deserving Mr.Olympia since Ronnie coleman.

I was on the phone to Masschuettes the other night talking to my old training partner Ray Harris and he echoed my sentiments:

"Hey Wee remember when we saw the photos from the Olympia when we were training out balls off, and how pyched up and energized we would be for months.................w ell these guys today dont psyche me up at all............they look like shit and everyone looks the same" !!

"If you cut off their heads they would all look like carbon copies of each other".

He hit the nail on the head,just think....Oliva,Nubret,Arnold,Coe,Zane,Padilla,Tinnerino,Robinson,Gable.Grant.Corney,Scott,Ferrigno, etc. etc. all had their own unique look to their physiques and could pose circles around todays fucking sad looking big gutted clowns.

i didn't know the date of this mr olympia until a buddy told me it was the next weekend.
I'm not following bodybuilding anymore but when somebody looks great I know it and I'm not afraid to say it.
 Then you never know if Ramy is going to win as he has trouble with conditioning especially in the mr olympia competition, this time he nailed it and that's it. I was surprised by his physique, props to him.
The attitude I don't like about people is belittling what these guys present today.. Hadi and Ramy looked great! If you want old school physique go classic, bumstead is not bad at all. The open are freaks and you gotta deal with it.. yes, top 6 is weak compared to late 90's but stop whining about it
